Looking for better insurance coverage rates? Shoppers have a choice when shopping for low-cost Oldsmobile Bravada insurance. They can either spend hours calling around trying to get quotes or use the internet to get rate quotes.
There are both good and bad ways to compare insurance coverage rates and we’ll show you the proper way to get price quotes for a Oldsmobile and find the lowest price either online or from local insurance agents.
Most of the larger companies like Allstate and Progressive allow you to get prices on their websites. Getting online rates is pretty painless as you just type in the coverages you want as detailed in the form. After you complete the form, their system pulls your credit score and driving record and gives you a price quote determined by many factors.
Quoting online makes it easy to compare insurance prices but the process of having to visit several different sites and complete many quote forms is a waste of time. Unfortunately, it is important to have as many quotes as possible in order to get a lower rate.
The preferred way to compare rates requires only one form that obtains quotes from a lot of companies. This type of form saves time, eliminates form submissions, and makes rate comparisons much easier. Immediately after submitting the form, your coverage is rated with multiple companies and you can pick any one of the resulting price quotes.
If the quotes result in lower rates, you can click and sign and purchase the new policy. This process takes 15 minutes at the most and you will find out if you’re overpaying now.
To compare rates now, click here to open in a new tab and enter your vehicle and coverage information. If you currently have coverage, we recommend you copy the coverages exactly as they are listed on your policy. This way, you will have a price comparison based on the exact same insurance coverage.
Buying insurance is not cheap, but there could be significant discounts that could help you make your next renewal payment. Larger premium reductions will be automatically applied when you complete an application, but some may not be applied and must be inquired about before you get the savings.
Drivers should understand that most discount credits are not given to the entire cost. Most only cut specific coverage prices like medical payments or collision. So when the math indicates you can get free auto insurance, that’s just not realistic. But any discount should help lower your policy premiums.
Some of the insurance companies that may offer quotes with these discounts are:
When getting a coverage quote, ask all companies you are considering how you can save money. A few discounts might not apply in every state. To see insurance companies that offer discounts, click here to view.
When it comes to choosing proper insurance coverage for your vehicles, there isn’t really a best way to insure your cars. Everyone’s situation is a little different.
These are some specific questions can aid in determining if your insurance needs may require specific advice.
If you can’t answer these questions but a few of them apply, then you may want to think about talking to a licensed insurance agent. If you don’t have a local agent, fill out this quick form. It’s fast, doesn’t cost anything and can help protect your family.
Understanding the coverages of your policy helps when choosing the best coverages and proper limits and deductibles. Car insurance terms can be confusing and even agents have difficulty translating policy wording.
Liability coverages – This coverage provides protection from damage or injury you incur to people or other property by causing an accident. It protects you from legal claims by others, and does not provide coverage for your own vehicle damage or injuries.
Liability coverage has three limits: bodily injury for each person, bodily injury for the entire accident, and a limit for property damage. You commonly see policy limits of 100/300/100 which stand for a limit of $100,000 per injured person, a per accident bodily injury limit of $300,000, and $100,000 of coverage for damaged propery. Another option is one limit called combined single limit (CSL) which limits claims to one amount without having the split limit caps.
Liability can pay for things like medical expenses, medical services, repair bills for other people’s vehicles and emergency aid. How much liability should you purchase? That is up to you, but consider buying as much as you can afford.
Comprehensive car insurance – This will pay to fix damage caused by mother nature, theft, vandalism and other events. You first have to pay a deductible then the remaining damage will be covered by your comprehensive coverage.
Comprehensive coverage protects against things like vandalism, rock chips in glass, hitting a bird, hitting a deer and damage from getting keyed. The maximum payout you’ll receive from a claim is the ACV or actual cash value, so if it’s not worth much more than your deductible it’s not worth carrying full coverage.
Collision coverage – Collision insurance will pay to fix damage to your Bravada resulting from colliding with an object or car. You first must pay a deductible then the remaining damage will be paid by your insurance company.
Collision insurance covers claims like crashing into a building, colliding with a tree, backing into a parked car, crashing into a ditch and hitting a parking meter. Collision coverage makes up a good portion of your premium, so you might think about dropping it from vehicles that are older. Another option is to raise the deductible to get cheaper collision coverage.
Coverage for uninsured or underinsured drivers – This provides protection when the “other guys” either are underinsured or have no liability coverage at all. Covered claims include hospital bills for your injuries as well as your vehicle’s damage.
Since many drivers only carry the minimum required liability limits, it doesn’t take a major accident to exceed their coverage limits. This is the reason having UM/UIM coverage should not be overlooked. Frequently the UM/UIM limits are identical to your policy’s liability coverage.
Coverage for medical expenses – Personal Injury Protection (PIP) and medical payments coverage kick in for immediate expenses such as doctor visits, EMT expenses, surgery and pain medications. They can be used in conjunction with a health insurance policy or if you do not have health coverage. Medical payments and PIP cover all vehicle occupants in addition to getting struck while a pedestrian. Personal injury protection coverage is not universally available but can be used in place of medical payments coverage

Hope my car insurance gets cheaper. Proud to be from Salt Lake City, Utah. Not sure of all the companies but I ended up saving about $20 each month. Even increased my liability limits. It’s too old for full coverage.

What does medical payments cover?

Hope my rates come down. From northwest of Fort Wayne, Indiana. I quoted with AIG Insurance, Safeco, and some smaller one I can’t remember the name of for my Bravada and I think I saved about $20 each month. BTW speeding tickets are not good. I think I’ll get rid of full coverage next time.

I got a good deal I think. I live in Nashua, New Hampshire. Got car insurance quotes from AIG Insurance, Nationwide, and Western Auto Insurance for my Oldsmobile and saved just over $70 a year. Got better coverage too. It never hurts to quote around. I don’t put full coverage on it.

I think State Farm has low rates in Rhode Island. For me anyway.

Got pretty cheap 1992 Oldsmobile Bravada insurance from Progressive in Colorado Springs, CO.

Cheap is not always the best policy. I’m in Bellevue, Nebraska. I quoted with Allstate, Amica, Farmers, and The General for my Oldsmobile and saved just over $80 a year. I think they have home insurance too. Not sure about claim service. Full coverage costs too much.
Val Durham
Good site, thanks. From east side of Bellevue, NE. Got rates from AIG Insurance, Farmers, and MetLife for my Bravada and I’m now saving $23 a month. Left The General to switch. :) I’m thinking about dropping full coverage though.

I’m in the north part of Kailua, Hawaii. Quoted a bunch of companies. Saved roughly $30 a month. Allstate was the best choice for me. Was with 21st Century. I got a quote from their website. Liability only on my Oldsmobile.

If you have a good history and live in the vicinity of Indianapolis, IN, check out Progressive. They seem to be cheaper. Thankfully I’m not a high risk driver.
Leroy Blankenship
I was with The General last year but switched to 21st Century. Located in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Was with Mercury. I even had a DUI years ago. You can get a rate quote online. Full coverage costs too much.

I think I’m paying too much. I’m just east of Minneapolis, MN. I quoted with Allstate, Farmers, and Liberty Mutual for my Oldsmobile and cut my rates about $110 a year. It was easy to get rates.

Here’s my info. I’m in the south part of Rapid City, SD. Got car insurance rates from USAA, Amica, Liberty Mutual, and MetLife for my Oldsmobile and I think I am saving around $20 each month. Switched homeowners coverage too. Full coverage costs too much.

I’m looking for cheaper coverage. From east side of Miami, FL. I don’t recall every quote but I ended up saving about $20 each month. Good savings if you bundle. :)

In Aberdeen, SD, Progressive auto insurance rates for my 1992 Oldsmobile Bravada were good. Was with GEICO. Did it all online.

Live in the northern part of Salt Lake City, Utah. Got car insurance quotes with Hartford, AIG Insurance, Mercury, and a couple others for my Bravada and saved just over $60 a year. Left AIG Insurance to switch. I have a couple other vehicles on the policy.
